The difference

More Than Basic WiFi

A trade show network is a production system. It carries registration and badge scanning, payments, exhibitor demonstrations, streaming, voice, digital signage, and the personal devices of everyone in the building — inside a temporary space, on a fixed schedule, with no second chance at doors.

Treating that as "put up access points and share a circuit" is where shows fail. Our work is the layer underneath: how the uplink is delivered and protected, how the LAN is built and addressed, how traffic is separated and prioritized, how wireless is planned against real RF conditions, and how the whole thing is tested before it matters.

Trade Show Network Engineering FAQs

How is a trade show network different from an office network?
A show network is built, operated, and removed inside days rather than years. It has no permanent cabling plant, an unfamiliar RF environment, a hard deadline at doors, and a client population that changes hourly. The design decisions are the same discipline, but the tolerances and the schedule are very different.
Do you provide both wired and wireless connectivity?
Yes. Most shows use both. Wired Ethernet handles anything business-critical or bandwidth-heavy — registration, POS, streaming encoders, demo workstations — while wireless covers mobility and general use.
Can traffic be separated between different groups on the floor?
Yes. VLAN segmentation with routing and firewall policy lets registration, production, exhibitors, staff, and attendees run on separate logical networks with their own addressing, access rules, and bandwidth treatment.
What happens if the primary internet path fails?
Redundancy is a design choice we scope with you. Depending on requirements and budget, that can mean a secondary circuit, a diverse path, failover routing, or spare hardware staged on site. We document what is and is not protected so there are no surprises.
Do engineers stay on site during the show?
Yes. We staff installation, testing, show hours, and teardown. Monitoring during show hours matters as much as the build, because most of what changes on a show floor changes after doors open.
